More Than Conquerors

Updated: Feb 24, 2019

Conquer: "to gain mastery over or win by overcoming obstacles or opposition; to overcome by force of arms."

To those who consider themselves a part of God's Church: We will NEVER become "more than conquerors" (Romans 8:37) until we realize that we all have the SAME enemy. We may get on each other's nerves or offend one another but we have to stop attacking each other. The devil is not omnipresent but he doesn't have to be because he uses tactics of division to get us to do his work for him! The tower of Babel was "almost" successful because the people had ONE focus and spoke the SAME language. Our motives and methods may be different from theirs but we can still learn a lesson from them in the power of unity. Those who have reached a certain level of maturity in Christ can clearly see the works and plans of the enemy. Even if they still get angry, they know how to fight in the spirit and attack our true enemy; not one another. As we grow in Godliness, we will achieve small victories along the way. However, one of our greatest battles is overcoming division from within our camp. This is vital to the success of spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ and possessing what He has for us. Continuing to throw dirt on each other will cause us to consistently lose ground. Instead, understand and respect that the dirt in our lives, if cultivated properly, will help us all to grow.
